Meet Sara and Jane


Jane Kaplan Hull, PT, MPH

Jane is a practicing pediatric physical therapist with over 30 years of experience helping children develop their learning, movement, play and social skills. More than twenty years ago, Jane founded Good Beginning Pediatric Therapy, an independent pediatric therapy practice in Virginia. She is certified in sensory integration therapy and has advanced competencies in many state-of-the-art therapeutic strategies and techniques.  She has special interest in children with autism, behavioral challenges, developmental delays and infant intervention  She has taught college classes, mentored the Good Beginnings staff of 27 therapists, and has contributed to an instructional video for Head Start.  Jane is a parent of a teenager who has been the generous guinea pig for the tips and toys research and development over the past 14 years!

Sara Weiser, OTR

Sara, a pediatric occupational therapist, is a partner and director at Good Beginning Pediatric Therapy.  She has advanced training and specializes in working with children who have challenges in functional visual skills, fine motor skills, ADHD and learning disabilities.  Sara believes that learning through toy play leads to advances in learning and improved problem solving skills.  She regularly conducts teacher training workshops, parent education classes and graduate school lectures.   Sara is the proud human of a rambunctious two year old Golden Doodle name Sophie.  If only she could teach Sophie some of these attention skills! 

Victoria Youcha, EdD

Vicky is a child development specialist who has worked with children with special needs and their families for more than thirty-five years. She is the mother of a former preemie and the grandmother of a little boy who spent time in the special care nursery. Vicky's experience includes directing an early intervention program, teaching early childhood special education classes at George Washington University and George Mason University, and authoring a variety of articles and books about including children with special needs in community settings.
